Well that was a brilliantly organised event for sure, great work by Phil Gillard on that one.
Lesley Feakes ran hard all the way for the win, keeping the trophy in the Feakes household for at least another year.
Also, amazing work by Richard and Bev in the BBQ, a splendid evening all round and great to see all the new faces too
Phil, will you be writing a report for the Blog / Email?
Think Chris Hatton was taking photos of the runners so will be nice to see them on flickr at some point

Echoed here too.
To be frank, having jogged a lap of the course in saturday morning for familiarisation, I was not looking forward tio it at all - primarily due to the hill start.
However, as with most races, once you were set off, you get into the mode and then you're OK (apart from severe oxygen debt!).
I think this could become a summer classic given the challenge of the course, the location, the scenery and the formidable organisation from all involved.
Big thanks to Phil, Helen, Richard, Bev, Mario, Joe & Chris (hope I've not missed anyone!) and it would be great to see any pics + the final results list on the blog.

'get into the mode and then you're OK'? 'Make this suffering go away', more like. That was hard and unpleasant, I've been coughing up new bits of lung this morning. Thanks Phil!
Many thanks also to everyone else for giving up their own run to help, and to everyone really for just turning out. Nice to see new folk too - hope they're not put off!

Just want to echo what has already been said - really well organised, really tough/challenging course, really hilly start, really good fun (I say fun?), great food and a really good social.....
