well finally managed to squeeze in two days holiday so this is next Mondays (27th June) training run www.gofar.eclipse.co.uk/harvey%20howgill%20tops.htmlHopefully running with Martin Hamer (Chester Tri) who we met on the Sandstone Challenge. Busy racing week this week though, hope this doesn't see me off!

I don't think too many club members have picked up on this impressive feat of 8 hours running over such mountainous terrain.
Wow!
And all on a jam butty! (check with adair for the full story!)
Well done Adair - 'bout time you got some plaudits.

Ah - not impressed now - a whole 3 gels, that must equate to about 300 calories tops - or a whole 3 miles, which at your pace means less than 20 minutes running or less than 5% of your mega marathon journey!
Mike!

unfinished business with this course though Mike, so doesn't feel like an accomplishment yet however, was great to be out for longer than I had before, baby steps and all that

What, on a track? Joke. A mate of mine did this Adidas thing last year... www.tr24.co.uk/I could quite fancy doing it as a team, solo I think I'd go completely loopy. Same sort of format as 24h MTB events, quite fun.

I'm with Steve & Ed here, better to have a point-to-point course with soem meaning rather than churning out endless miles on a 400 metre circuit.

222km in less than 24 hours, now that's certainly a challenge, you tempted Phil?

I have just read a book by a guy who attempted it - 120 miles plus a week for months and still only got half way - so no chance

The course is all along tarmac paths, starting at the top of the park near the pavilions, then doing Well, the Harvey Howgill Tops round will lead you to just that.
