How was the recce Phil - do they look like good running hills?

either fast hard stoney paths downhill, some tough gradual ascents, or serious bog trotting!

Hmm, That doesn't sound ideal. Stoney paths like Moel-y-gamlin or a real hard pounding fast as you dare paths?
I'll have to make sure I go for it and don't just mince in the bogs! (Sounds like a warning that a certain pop star once had - a few years before he crashed his car into a shop)
Was gutted I had to miss the recce. Really looking forward tot he weekend though - do I have to do anything apart from turn up? I got the impression Phil was playng dad for this one and was sorting it all out - I don't want to miss it through ineptitude!

A little bit of both regarding the paths, quite stoney in places, but runnable in others, will be interesting if it's wet too.
Yes we'll sort it out with Phil once we know who is going to run, need to contact Jim as not heard from him for a while. Will have to discuss what legs people want to do.
Great area though that's for sure, will be a good day i'm sure of it.
Good luck in the Mountain Marathon btw!!
